Support Parents AND Improve Student Outcomes
April 15 @ 10:00 - 11:00 BST
In Primary-aged children the support that children get at home can have up to 5-times the impact of anything done in school.
It is by far the single greatest influence on children’s success, however one measures that success.
So why is parental involvement in learning so rarely done well?
In this session Matt Koster-Marcon will share ‘what works’ (and what doesn’t!) according to the keyresearch into common parental engagement and home-learning strategies.
We’ll look at some schools who’ve taken on the challenge with enormous success and look at
common themes everyone can implement.
Matt will share a 6-step process for implementing a methodical, and proven, school improvement which has seen schools achieve an average 11% increase in end of Primary exam grades in participating schools (as well as saving teachers hours of work).
